Must have update for every Jaguar X/S/XJ
To check what audio system is installed in your car press ‘Mode‘ on the radio. If you have a ‘Sub‘ setting then it is Premium Alpine audio.
If there is no ‘Sub‘ setting then it is Standard audio.

Installation was pretty easy, the guide is very detailed and easy to follow. And when i did get stuck, the seller replied always very quickly with the solution.
In terms of sound quality it is a very big improvement! Before i was using an FM transmitter, which was always making weird noises and distortions. This is completely gone now, and i can even use the steering wheel buttons for next/previous track, play/pause, accept/end calls. It also saves me the hassle of finding a radio that would fit inside the X-Type, since it’s not a DIN slot and space is very tight.
In summary, i am really glad this shop exists and I’m very happy with the product. 10/10 would recommend it!

I have had this for 3-4 months now, sounds as good if even better then playing a CD. I have never heard such a good bluetooth reciever. Best upgrade ever for S-Type!

X350 2003, Premium Sound. Can’t fault the Jagaux – Clear sound, works great for music and had no complaints from people phoning me, and vice versa. Buttons work nicely on the steering wheel, and easy to programme. Excellent guides for installation, with clear pictures. Top tip – get the J-Gate out of park before you start, or at least know how to do it – I learned the hard way. 😀

2002 S-Type R: The bluetooth module is easy to install with simple hand tools and following the clear instructions provided by the owner. The car originally had a cassette deck head unit but I replaced it with a used CD player head unit. Radio code can be bypassed with the info provided in the FAQ section. The sound quality is improved compared to my previous FM transmitter and the steering wheel controls work wonderfully. You DO need a CD in the player to use the bluetooth function; but just put in a CD you don’t care about and let that be in the player constantly. Calls are clear and mounting the microphone is easy as you can pick any place you like; I put it right above the screen, next to the ultrasound cabin sensor. Everything else like volume control still works normally. This is a great kit for people like me who want to keep everything as original as possible but still want modern bluetooth function. I would give it 6 stars if I could!
