Which model years this covers
This pinout covers the S-Type (X200) of 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002. One table serves every one of those years: within a head unit generation the connector and the wire colours do not change.

Common questions
Which wire is the 12 V constant on the S-Type (X200) radio connector?
FC71 pin 1, wire colour OB (Orange with Black tracer). It stays live with the key out: this is the memory feed.
Which wire is the ignition switched live on the S-Type (X200)?
FC71 pin 3, wire colour YG (Yellow with Green tracer). It goes live with the ignition and is what tells the head unit to switch on.
Which pin is the ground on the S-Type (X200) head unit connector?
FC71 pin 2, wire colour N (Brown).
What are the speaker wire colours on the S-Type (X200)?
LEFT FRONT DOOR SPEAKER + — pin 1, WB; LEFT FRONT DOOR SPEAKER – — pin 2, SB; LEFT REAR DOOR SPEAKER + — pin 3, WP; LEFT REAR DOOR SPEAKER – — pin 4, SW; RIGHT FRONT DOOR SPEAKER + — pin 5, WR; RIGHT FRONT DOOR SPEAKER – — pin 6, SR; RIGHT REAR DOOR SPEAKER + — pin 7, W; RIGHT REAR DOOR SPEAKER – — pin 8, S.
What connector does the S-Type (X200) head unit use?
The head unit sits on FC71, FC72 and FC73. Jaguar colour codes are not the aftermarket standard, so match an adapter by pin number, not by wire colour.
Notes and caveats
* Speaker polarity. Not marked. The + and – above follow the block order the sheet draws: left front, left rear, right front, right rear. If a pair sounds thin, reverse it.
** Pin FC73-7. FC73-7 is labelled twice on the drawing: once at the left of the unit, carrying SO from the ignition switch, and once at the right, carrying YR out to the antenna module through FC40-4 and CA20. One pin cannot do both. The 2001 and 2002 guides print it the same way, on both the standard and the premium figure, so the year it went wrong cannot be dated. FC73 is a 17-way connector and pins 3, 6 and 10 are drawn nowhere, so the antenna feed is most likely one of those three; it is left unidentified here.
